Falcons Prep Day 4

— 7 Mar 2013, 12:18 by Maison Claire Fontaine

Hardly enough time to write today. Breakfast and a play as usual. We're all getting into a routine now and are relishing the activities with great enthusiasm. We went straight to the market to practice vocab learned yesterday to buy our lunch. All four groups made some fantastic purchases: roast chicken, cooked meats, fruit/veg, meringues, cheese. We then prepared and presented our lunch and tucked in.

After a long play in the sunshine we left MCF for a lovely old town called Vezeley where we completed a quiz in French. We had to find out local information by reading signs and asking questions to shop keepers and tourists. We then finished at the top of the hill at the Basilica which houses Marie Madeleine's finger apparently! The views from the top were stunning and we were able to look around a souvenir shop.

The evening was particularly monumental - LES ESCARGOTS (snails) - we REALLY enjoyed them - surprising but true! Followed by steak and chips, ice cream and a DVD with duvets and pillows. The perfect eve to a really great week. It's gone very fast and we've had a great time. We are of course looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow xx
