Meet the MCF Team

Alex

Alex

As one of the joint owners of MCF and a teacher and deputy head with over twenty years experience working in UK schools, Alex is determined that your visit to us is as enjoyable as possible. A great lover of games she likes nothing more than everyone taking part wholeheartedly in the activities that are such an important part of your visit. She enjoys life in the beautiful Burgundy countryside and under the clear starry skies here she may be convinced to share the viewfinder of her telescope with you for some star gazing.

Mark

Mark

As the other owner of MCF, Mark is also keen for you to enjoy yourself as much as possible on your trip. In charge of making sure everything in the centre works well he likes nothing more than for you to have a good time without breaking anything ! You might notice him sometimes disappearing into the garage in the corner of the field where as well as making things for the centre he also has a workshop where he restores antique jewellery boxes. If you would like to see some of his work you can see it at his site www.otterantiques.co.uk

Elodie

Elodie

No one who comes to MCF can escape from the influence of the human dynamo that is Elodie. Her and her team of teachers definitely have more than enough energy to fill your week with great lessons and fun filled activities and excursions. With a love of music, if you have a disco planned for your week then she is our resident DJ and will take a note of your requests but only play them if she thinks they are up to her standards. Elodie loves living in beautiful Burgundy but she also has a passion for travelling all over the world to meet new people.

David

David

In charge of the kitchen and all catering at our Meluzien centre, David is a very important member of the team for you to know here at MCF. As a proud professional French chef he takes great pride in his cooking and loves giving all our visitors a true taste of fantastic French cuisine. He loves using fresh ingredients and is never happier than when all the plates of food he has prepared for you come back empty. He enjoys playing tennis when he can get away from the kitchen and in the winter when we don’t have visitors he is an expert painter of dormitories.

Fadila1

Fadilah

Fadilah has headed up the team at our Lac Sauvin centre for the last two years and we are delighted to welcome her to Meluzien for the 2012 Autumn season. She is passionate about all our visitors having the best time possible and she loves learning and teaching languages (we think she speaks five or six fluently but we are never sure how many exactly since she is always learning new ones ...)

girard amelie1

Amélie

I'm Amélie, the local teacher ! I am from Semur-en-auxois which is in the neighbourhood of Avallon. I would love to show you my hometown and talk about its history. I play handball and trained a handball team. I would say that basically I like sport activities !
I also like travelling and  have recently worked in Hungary and Austria where I taught French as a foreign language.  They were great experiences and convinced me to teach languages in a more entertaining way. Over the next few years, I would like to teach French to professionals in France or abroad...That is another challenge !

I look forward to meeting you and helping you to enjoy your trip to France and my home region of Burgundy.

Charlie

Hi there! I'm Charlie and I've just graduated from the University of Brighton which was a really great 3 years. I am hoping to be a teacher in the future and am looking forward to learning new things. I love playing guitar and writing my own music, and I enjoy playing and watching lots of sports- in particular tennis, football and basketball, and will be involved with as many as I can at MCF! I have enjoyed various holidays in France before and really enjoy the way of life so am really looking forward to spending time with you in beautiful Burgundy.

Matthew

Hi! My name is Matthew and I have just finished my A Levels at college. I am currently on a gap year before I go to Bristol University to study Modern Languages. My hobbies include sport (mainly Table Tennis and Football) and of course, in addition to this, the French language and its culture. I have been passionate about France and languages since my first trip to this wonderful country and so I hope I will help to create this enthusiasm in others too!
