Falcons Prep Day 3

— 6 Mar 2013, 17:47 by Maison Claire Fontaine

We were all woken up by an enthusiastic 'good morning' from the alarm. We rushed off to the showers to wash and brush our teeth. Then we heard the jolly bell calling us to breakfast. The breakfast included corn flakes, chocolat chaud, bread with nutella and jam and orange juice. Then we went outside to have our well-earned free time. Next we went off for our final French lesson for the week. Again we had a break and we erupted with joy. When the bell sounded we went to bake some apple tarts. All of the tarts looked rather amazing. After that we were all starving so we quickly rushed off for our lunch which included meatballs and frites! Yummy! Shortly after lunch we went to the Chateau de Bussy-Rabutin. We travelled there by bus and the landscape of the French castle came into view.

First we took a tour around the castle which was very interesting to see all the kings and queens of France. After the tour we had a competition in the maze. The maze sadly only had one path to follow so it was very hard to get lost! In the centre of the maze we were faced with a challenge of answering a French question about the castle we had just visited.

The team that got the most questions right won. When we got back to the residence we wolfed down our dinner: quiche lorraine and pasta. Then we had a competition to see who had made the best tart (taste and presentation). All of the teams got to eat their cake for dessert. Very soon after we started a quiz to finish off the day and then we went to bed. You can write us messages below …. A demain!
