Falcons Prep Day 2

— 5 Mar 2013, 17:52 by Maison Claire Fontaine

After a good sleep the first full day kicked off in style. We enjoyed a delicious petit dejeuner: cereal, baguettes, chocolat chaud, confiture, nutella etc. etc. French lessons started for half of the group while the other half did some intricate and imaginative mosaic making. Then we swapped over. In the French lessons we learnt how to introduce ourselves properly and different French greeting phrases. A bit of Geography was thrown in there, Mr Whitehead would be very proud: we figured out where we were on the map! Breaks are fun in the garden, we play football, swing on the swings, play ping-pong and babyfoot. Lunch was carrot and cucumber sticks with dip followed swiftly by turkey in mushroom sauce and rice. We finished with fruit salad. Full of energy we then headed to the circus … and learnt the tricks of the trade. Juggling, bouncing, rings, plate spinning as a warm up followed by more strenuous and gymnastic activities including the trapeze, tight rope, ball balancing and balance board. It was fun and energetic and we enjoyed ‘clowning about’! After ‘petanque’ in the garden we’ll be heading to bed for some zzzzzzz. In conclusion, our first day has been great, we’re tired out and Lachlan has VERY clean teeth: toothpaste purchase complete. Everything has been communicated in French and we’re doing well at understanding instructions and phrases. Feel free to comment using the function below. A demain!
