After an exciting journey on Eurostar, Malcolm was in Paris to meet us on the bus. We arrived at Maison Claire  Fontaine just in time to see the sun come through the rain clouds  and we were able to enjoy some free time outside. Our first activity was the randonnée in the Morvan forest where we found some VERY orange slugs ....!

Back for spaghetti bolognaise before the puzzle competition and bedtime ....

Tuesday morning we were up early for a breakfast of cereal, bread, nutella, jam and chocolat chaud. Two groups then visited the circus whilst the other two stayed on site for a French lesson followed by the cuisine activity. In the afternoon the groups swopped around .

For dinner we had poisson panés (fish fingers) followed by the special apple cake that we had made earlier in the day called a Tartouillat. The teachers took a long time to judge the winning cakes .... the best looking and the best tasting.... but eventually we got to eat them.

Our evening activity was pétanque. Congratulations to the grand champion Vishant.

"Watching acts at a circus is fun but when you are learning how to do them it is beyond exciting. At MCF we learnt how to balance on balls, walk on a tightrope and juggle. We learnt this at the circus where we had lots of fun."  Noah

Edwin

Wednesday :

"We started the day with some calming music. We wolfed down our breakfast and had a french lesson. We learned all about Vezelay and some useful phrases for the questionaire in Vezelay. We took a short bus ride and we completed our Vezelay questionaire. We visited the Basilique and saw the finger of Mary Magdelene. In the afternoon we visited the tree adventure park where we harnessed up and took to the trees. Everyone enjoyed some tricky stages and some thrilling zip wires. We finished up and went over to a good restaurant for a tasty dinner."  Rufus

Dylan, Kiran and Shaan.

Thursday / jeudi  :

Thank you MCF for helping my French in many ways. I do think I have improved. The food was great , especially the snails on the last day. Le parc aventure was great fun and the new zip wire was amazing. The kayaking was fun as well (even though I was terrible). My favourite activity must have been the cooking because it was really fun and I actually learnt how to cook....... From Con
