Get ready to go
We hope you are very excited about the time you are going to spend with us, we are certainly looking forward to meeting you and having a fantastic time together doing lots of really interesting and adventurous things and of course working together to get better at speaking and understanding French.
Apart from needing lots of energy and enthusiasm to get the most out of your time with us you might also think of the things that you need to pack for your trip.
Make sure you pack comfortable clothes for a week in the rural French countryside. You will be doing a lot of walking during the excursions and activities we have planned for you so please make sure you have some trainers or comfortable shoes with you.
We have provided a packing list to help you think about what you will need. Please don’t forget your pencil case and French/English dictionary if you have one.
Practising French
A big part of the reason for your visit to France is to help you improve your French speaking skills. When you are with us we will ask you to speak French as much as possible. If you need to go to the toilet, have more bread at lunch time or you would like your friend to pass you the water jug .... you will need to speak in French. Our aim is to give you the confidence to do this, so don’t worry, we promise to make it fun and hope that we can all enjoy speaking French together.
If you want to practise a bit before you come to visit why not try some of the questions that our French friends have put together in the video below. We know they speak very quickly (!!) but we have also written the questions to help you work them out.
Please also feel free to download the documents below where we have included some useful phrases and additional questions for your try at home.
We look forward to speaking French with you when you arrive !
