Do you remember the trips that you took when you were at school ?

We ask because ever since we have been involved in the provision of educational trips for groups of young people every adult that we have talked to when discussing what we do immediately tells us in detail their memories of what they did when they went away on their own school trips.

The excitement of the journey, the new sights, sounds and tastes you only get from experiencing first-hand the same but somehow different, the fun of being with your friends and of course the start of a deeper discovery of who you are as a person.

Everybody remembers those first steps going out into the world and that has always served to prove to us the importance of what we do. We are very aware that we are creating powerful and lifelong memories when we welcome young people. We know that we only get one chance at making those memories positive ones and we are determined to make them as happy and impactful as we can.

Maison Clare Fontaine exists in its current format as a direct result of school trips that we, the owners Alex and Mark, took when children ourselves. What we do is an intensely personal expression of what we believe a truly educational and impactful school trip should give to young people.

We feel that we have a profound responsibility to make amazing memories for children and we share this motivation with you so that you can understand the why of what we do.
