Excursions
Excursions are a key part of any educational trip and that is certainly true for a visit to Maison Claire Fontaine. We believe absolutely in the power of engaging first hand with a different country and its culture and going out into the beautiful and profoundly French region we are in provides a fantastic opportunity to really bring the language and wider world alive for children.
The excursions chosen by a visiting school will reflect the educational aims of the trip and often incorporate some element of cross curricular study. The groundwork from the point of view of the language and culture we are seeking to focus on during our excursions is done in lessons prior to the visit. Targeted and relevant vocabulary is covered along with any other information that will enhance and engage the children in the forthcoming visit.
When out on the excursions you choose we will encourage and support all pupils and try to make sure that they gain the maximum language benefits from all of their interactions with the local community. The excursions are specifically designed and executed to achieve this and we are proud of the enhanced impact this approach has on the children who visit us.
