French cookery
During this activity not only do the children get to make a delicious dish they also have the personal satisfaction of eating it. Put into small teams, the results of their cooking are evaluated on both the presentation and flavour of their dish and prizes are awarded following tasting by an expert panel of judges.
All Health and safety instructions are given in English but all other teaching points are given in French.
Pupils are encouraged to repeat and recall key vocabulary as well as having to ask for ingredients and equipment in French.
