Forest walk
Located in such a rural part of France, it is no suprise that both of our centres have a selection of beautiful walks.
From the Meluzien site our route takes you through the local forest, along the vallée du cousin and around the local quarry for which the orginal MCF building used to act as the local bar and restaurant.
The Lac Sauvin centre is situated in an area of immense historical and archeological significance. An afternoon or morning walk takes you through the picturesque forestland and an area rich in Roman remains. The walk finishes along the river Cure and past the Arcy-sur-Cure caves where if we are able to keep everyone quiet it might be possible to see some bats
This activity can be tailored in time and difficulty to your own requirements but keeps at its heart our ambition of maximum language learning with all walks being guided and used as an opportunity to reinforce existing knowledge and introduce new vocabulary. We often include a treasure hunt, quiz or French games to reinforce the learning.
