Faire les courses au marché

This is often one of the highlights of the week and involves a visit to a local market on the last morning of your visit. Pupils are given a budget to spend as a group and are required to purchase their own food for lunch.

They return to the centre to prepare, present and eat their food. This is a fabulous activity, providing the opportunity for real life interaction with French market traders and has direct relevance for every future trip to France.

‘One of my favourite activities was going to the market and buying and making our lunch. I think that it was a very creative idea, and a very fun one too !’'

Sarah, pupil at North London Collegiate School

‘Another activity I enjoyed was the market as we could work freely and independently. I really like to make food too so I especially enjoyed this activity.’

Amber, pupil at North London Collegiate School
